Attorney in Donovon Lynch case cleared in perjury investigation

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A special prosecutor has cleared attorney Jeffrey Reichert of perjury charges that stemmed from his involvement in the Donovon Lynch case. 

Lynch was fatally shot by a Virginia Beach police officer in March 2021, sparking widespread protests and calls for justice. The city later reached a $3 million settlement with the family in a wrongful death lawsuit.
